Job Title: Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Resale Store Transportation Specialist
Classification: Part-Time, Nonexempt
Reports To: Resale Store Manager
Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour

Position Summary: 

The Resale Store Transportation Specialist is responsible for the pickup, delivery, and safe transport of donated goods and customer purchases. This role ensures that in-kind donations and purchases are handled professionally, efficiently, and in alignment with the organization’s mission and operational needs.

 Responsibilities: 

• Complete scheduled donation pickups and deliveries from donors, partners, and community locations
• Load, unload, and safely secure donated items during transport
• Inspect and maintain organization vehicle (fuel, cleanliness, basic upkeep)
• Conduct pre- and post-rip vehicle safety checks
• Maintain accurate donation, mileage, and route logs
• Provide courteous and professional interaction with donors and community partners
• Assist with sorting or staging donations upon return, as needed
• Follow all Minnesota traffic laws and organizational safety policies

Qualifications: 

• Valid Minnesota driver’s license
• Clean driving record (subject to MVR review)
• Ability to safely load/unload furniture, clothing, or household goods
• Strong reliability and time management skills
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in logistics, warehouse, or delivery work
• Experience working in a nonprofit environment

Availability Requirements:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:30AM-4PM availability is required. Actual scheduled hours will vary depending on store needs.

Work Environment: 

This position involves active physical work, local travel in organization’s truck within Hennepin County and surrounding areas, frequent community interaction, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands: 

• Frequent lifting, bending, and carrying
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
• Lift up to 75-100 lbs with team assistance
• Ability to push/pull loaded dollies weighing 150-300+ lbs
