Amy Gallagher Board Member

Amy Gallagher is a passionate healthcare advocate, nonprofit leader, and BRCA1 previvor dedicated to advancing cancer prevention, education, and support. With a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise, Amy has spent over 15 years driving mission-focused impact in both the nonprofit and healthcare sectors.

As the former Executive Director of Firefly Sisterhood, a breast cancer support nonprofit, Amy led strategic initiatives to expand peer mentorship, strengthen community partnerships, and engage hundreds of volunteers. In her current role with Exact Sciences, she works at the intersection of cancer screening and clinical outreach, helping healthcare providers prioritize early detection and genetic risk awareness.

Amy’s advocacy is deeply rooted in her own journey as a BRCA1 previvor. She has partnered with the Basser Center for BRCA at Penn Medicine to elevate awareness around hereditary cancer risk and has shared her story through national media to empower others facing similar decisions. She is also the founder of the Pink Open, a community golf event that has raised over $200,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

A committed wife, mom of two, and community volunteer, Amy brings empathy, strategy, and lived experience to every role she takes on. She is honored to serve on the board and looks forward to contributing to its mission through connection, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership.
