David Hamilton Interim Executive Director

David brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including serving as Executive Director of Youth Farm, The Cedar Cultural Center, and Access Works. As a consultant with Mighty Consulting, he has served as Interim Executive Director for Child Care Aware of Minnesota, MN SNAP, Children’s Performing Arts, and Watercourse Counseling Center. He has also led numerous Executive Director searches, most recently the search for the President and CEO of Pillsbury United Communities. His approach emphasizes clarity, equity, and structured evaluation processes that help boards identify leaders who align with an organization’s strategy, culture, and community.

Across fields including harm reduction, international education, the performing arts, mental health, and youth leadership through urban farming, David’s work reflects a longstanding commitment to social justice, community-driven programming, and equity-centered leadership. He holds an MA in African History from the University of Minnesota and a Mini-MBA for Nonprofit Organizations from the University of St. Thomas.
